About Caribou

Since exploding on to the Louisville music scene in the 70’s, Caribou has continually wowed audiences. In their thirty year history Caribou has appeared at just about every major club, festival and music venue in Louisville, and has played at more parties and special events than you can count. Beginning with straight-ahead rock and roll in the seventies and eighties, adding a bit more pop and dance tunes in the late eighties and ninetees, culminating in the full-blown, brass - accompanied dance band they are today.

Caribou is a seven-piece band featuring a full horn section with trumpet, trombone, and sax. The group has been a favorite at the Kentucky State Fair, the Kentucky Derby Festival Chow Wagons, Caesars Indiana, Jim Porter’s Good Time Emporium, company parties, booster club dances, and wedding receptions. The group’s versatility makes them a perfect choice for any event.
